Improvements

Once we had a solid prototype together that allowed remote operation of a Bobcat machine, we gather 50 users from across North America who used their Bobcat machines for a wide variety of purposes. As we watched them at the Bobcat test site, we were able to pull away some key improvements for Max Control. First, our dark mode was too difficult to see in direct sunlight, this was obviously a safety concern. To fix this we added light mode and dark mode for the best experience depending on the time of day someone may be operating. Second, our users were experiencing misplacement of fingers as they were watching the Bobcat and operating at the same time. Though a minimal solution would be to just use your mobile device, we decided to create a Bobcat branded physical controller to attach to your phone. With this controller, users can drive their Bobcat machine like they were playing a video game. Finally, many of our users mentioned their job-site operators are managing their worksites using an iPad, so it would be nice to have a solution specific to a tablet, so we built it.
